I have challenge Carolina, If I finish my post before her she must by me a lollipop tomorrow.

 This is some information you can read on some different WebPages, how a good whippet should look like and behave. I have been putting together the things I think is most interesting and important.

 A Whippet should be a combination of muscles and elegance. They are breed fore speed and work.
A good looking whippet should have a long strong neck and a deep thorax.

Whippets have a calm and stable temperament. They easily adjust in different environments.
They function well with almost every other breed.
Every whippet I meet has been very calm and submissive. Whippet is a very good family dog. They are good with children and not many people are afraid of them.

Would you be scared of a small dog wearing a big covering in the winter and looking like they freezing to death? My grandma is very afraid of dogs but she says she can’t be afraid of a whippet.” They look so calm, and they don’t bark all they time like many other breeds usually do”

Today I feel a bit better. Hopefully I’m back in school tomorrow.
Today Ewa was keeping me company, we look at old pictures of her dog.
We look through here computer and old diskettes to see if we could find any good pictures.

She says she finely is going to update her website now that she having puppies.
I’m going to help here with that. We see how that goes ^^

We found a lot of pictures on the puppies and they were really cute! Can’t wait until our little Puppy is born. Only 26 days left.

I couldn’t get in on blogg.se yesterday, so I post this now instead ^^

Today I’m not in school because I have a cold.
Instead I try to get some homework done.
I’m just been out with my dog, I feel a bit better and he really needed to run off some energy.
I dressed both me and Quicken with a lot of clothes.
He looked at me and looked like he thought I was an idiot wanting to get out in this cold.

The weather outside is beautiful, it was very relaxing to walk there, listening to KENT and watch the sun glimmer in the snow.

Quicken had a lot of energy!

But when we got home he hurried to the bed and crawl in under the covering to get worm again.

 Quicken hates winter.

 Quciken has got lack off b-vitamin.
He has to take b-vitamin every other week. When he started to take the vitamin he lost all he’s hair on his head and on his stomach.  So he is very cold, specially now in the winter.
So we have to force him to get out. Most of the day he just lying under the covering trying to get warm.

 Hopefully his coat vill be back soon and the spring is soon to be here so we can start being outside more.
He really loves being out in the wood with me and the horses.
Sometime I am riding and sometimes I drive horse and carriage.
You can see that bouth the dog and the horse loves it.
When the Quicken get tired of running he jump up to the carriage, and sits there looking very pride.

Sight hounds are like you probably understand hunting only by speed and sight. other dog hunts by scent and endurance. Sight hounds have a slim body to help them run fast when they hunt.  Some races can run over 65km/h
Sigh hounds loves to run. They can run for hours. A good way to stimulate your sigh hound is by start practise Lure Corsing.

Lure coursing is one of the oldest sport that we still practise in modern time.
It’s a over four thousand years old sport.

 In lure corsing the dogs are judge by five criterion .Speed, enthusiasm, follow, mobility and endurance. Always by at lest two Judes.
The dogs run after a rag with is attach to a steel wire.
They race is over in less then 2 minute.

 So if you have sight hound or any other dog who loves to run I advise you to try this sport.  It is a good way to meet other dogs and there owner.

I just find out that Adidas got puppies!

They saw 5 small puppies and hopefully they all come out alive.

I just started a countdown to see how many days there is left to they last day the puppies are suppose to be born.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This blog is a English project and I have decide to write about my dog. He is a 3 year old whippet. He loves to chew on things. My mums wallet, important papers, socks the list is long.

Almost 3 years ago I hurt myself badly in a horse ascendant and I was in bed almost 4 month. When I hade enough energy to be out of bed fore a few hours I started walking my mums friends dogs. At that time she had 5 dogs at home. Lucy, Nelson, Fina, Adidas, Bobby, Roxy and Roxys 4 puppies, Carizma,  Roxana, Pantheera and my dog Quicksilver. And sometimes she hade even more dogs since she is a whippet breeder.  I can tell you it’s not easy being out with 7 dogs at one time alone.

After I been out with the dogs I sometime brought Quicksilver or “Quicken” home with me to train him to be away from the pack. But when I returned him to Ewa he always started to “cry” so one day Ewa asked me if I wanted him. She could tell he liked me.

So he moved home to me and became my company and best friend because I was to bad to go to school fore more then 2 hours a day.

Now when I can go almost a whole day to school without that much of a problem Quickens spends most of the days in my mums offices as a stable dog, Since she is working on a stable. Most of they time he lies on his bed near the element, otherwise he’s looking for something to chew on.

Quickens has a lot of dogs friends. Roy who also is “working” at the stable. and Adidas who is Quickens aunt. And she is going to a ultrasound tomorrow to see if she has puppies. And if she has one of them is going to move to our home. We will call him “Alfred” after Alfred Nobel since my brother really like him.

I write tomorrow to tell you if they going to be any puppies.
